Hello,
I can’t login from some devices (private laptop, mobile phone) to Discourse.
Fault message “You can’t login from this IP as xxx” during login at GNOME Discourse.
Any idea, what it could be?
I’ll try again later on these devices.

That typically means that too many login attempts have been made from the same IP or subnet, which is usually an indication of some spam bot. Unfortunately, some ISP tend to recycle IPs too quickly which ends up with legitimate users getting caught in the crossfire.
My recommendation is to wait a bit, or to use a different service provider.
@ebassi we have had dozens of users complaining about this problem recently. Surely it’s time to suspect that something is wrong on our end? Maybe we need to relax some settings? We shouldn’t be IP banning innocent users.
It’s not “dozens”, and it’s over the past year or so.
Not really, but you do you.
There are no settings, and what settings are there have already been amply relaxed.
Nobody is getting banned.
OK, found this issue which is private to GNOME developers only but contains some details of what went wrong.
Unfortunately, that issue was just closed yesterday, but you’re still having trouble today. I will add a comment that you’re still having trouble.
I’ll try again on my other machine(s) till the end of the week and give feedback.
Thanks!
Ok. Thanks for all.
Today I can login on my private laptop again
