Will Gnome be updating the Evolution Email Client 3.36.5 used in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to use the People API for Google contacts? If so, is there an estimated timeline? Thanks.

Hi, you would need to contact Ubuntu about this, as Ubuntu chooses which GNOME updates to take and which patches from newer versions to backport. Currently the latest version of Evolution available from GNOME is Evolution 41.
