What happened to the GStreamer visualizations?

As of right now, I only have 3 visualizations available: goom, goom2k1 and monoscope. I have all of the plugin packages installed.

What happened to all of the libvisual plugins that used to be available in Base?

Is there any chance there will be more visualizations in the future?
