It seems that some elements of the GTK apps show text ellipses, even though there seems to be just enough space to display the full text. When I change the text hinting in Tweaks, the ellipses disappear. I don’t think this is particularly about text hinting, but it probably just redraws the text.
I have recorded the screen (.webm), but this forum does not allow that file type, so I had to upload it to Imgur, which made the video blurry.
