Using Fractal & unable to join #fractal:gnome.org

I’m unable to join #fractal:gnome.org using Fractal version 10.1.

When I run Fractal in the terminal and try to join the room, I get the following error message:

2025-03-15T01:10:30.801662Z ERROR fractal::session::model::room_list: Joining room #fractal:gnome.org failed: the server returned an error: [403 / M_FORBIDDEN] You are not invited to this room.

Is that room invite only or is this a bug?

Unfortunately, Gnome’s matrix was targeted by spam accounts earlier today. Many rooms became (temporarily) closed to the public to stop the attacks.
