Unintended removal of Trash items while clicking "Empty Trash" sidebar menu

So when emptying the trash in this way, the user always knows what files they’re deleting just in-case they don’t fully remember what files were in trash beforehand, as they might not have seen the contents of the trash recently.

If one needs to know what items they’re deleting from trash, they should:

  1. Click Trash in sidebar.
  2. Check trash items.
  3. Click Empty Trash... in the top right.

The user might think they’ve got no necessary files in the trash, and they may just empty it and lose important files because they were in-fact misremembering things, so I think this should be implemented as a fail-safe in that case.

I’d be more inclined to remove the context menu option in that case.

I don’t see a need for it, the popup is just there to confirm that you didn’t accidentally click the option. There were suggestions of showing how much space will be freed, which makes more sense to me. You might be able to deduct from that if the trash contains what you’d expect it to.

Yeah. That’s probably a good idea.
