Tutorial for creating paperback cover

Can a kind soul point me to a simple tutorial that shows how to create a paperback cover using GIMP 3.0.4? I don’t need to do anything fancy.

Thank you! The YouTube shows the creation of an ebook cover only. That may be helpful in the future, but for now that’s not needed.

Although I think I’m following the steps in the other tutorial, it’s not working out as planned. A video would be wonderful.
