Turning off tooltips

Hi I would love to turn off tool tips. I have been trying to research it but I am not sure whether it is possible or not?

No, there is no setting to turn off tooltips.

Hi Ebassi, what about putting “gtk-enable-tooltips = 0” in .gtkrc-2.0. Is that no longer viable?

GtkSettings:gtk-enable-tooltips was a GTK2-only setting that has been ignored in GTK3 since September 2013, and is not available at all in GTK4.
