Hi,
My environment: Gnome 47, PaperWM. Google Chrome refuses to accept the app focus, it remains invisible on Activities. There’s no trouble with the input focus, it works as usual. As a matter of fact, I tried to turn off PaperWM; Google Chrome, once started, occupies two workspaces, so there’s something really wrong with this particular app. There’s no problem with Firefox.
NB The trouble has shown itself on the second start of Google Chrome and persisted afterwards. First time the keyring dialog preceded the (normal) appearance of Google Chrome; the keyring was configured not to show up any more. Then the trouble began.
I did a bit of research; I’m not the only one with a trouble with app focus, but didn’t find anything useful. What can I try?
UPD
It turned out that Google Chrome somehow had been starting right in the scratch layer. Super+Ctrl+Esc cured it. How did it happen?
It looks like it cured Google Chrome permanently. After reboot, it still behaves normally.
