Gio.DesktopAppInfo has the method get_categories() which returns a list with all the categories to which this application belongs. Unfortunately, the list is in English. Using the Gnome Menus library I can get the categories names translated, but I wonder if is it possible to translate those categories names without using Gnome Menus (the official categories names from the desktop file specification, of course).
