The version of Gnome shell supported by Gnome shell extensions

When I was trying to install, I had already updated the software sources, but apt reported an error saying that the maximum supported version of gnome shell is 46. However, I installed Ubuntu 24.10, which comes with version 47 by default. May I ask if gnome shell extensions currently support gnome shell 47? If not, approximately how long will it take?

I don’t understand. What are you exactly trying to do? Unless you’re doing something weird it should “just work”.

Extensions are installed through https://extensions.gnome.org/ or with Extensions Manager Install Extension Manager on Linux | Flathub.

If you are installing with apt, a specific (older) version of an extension packaged for your distro, and it can’t install you should ask in Ubuntu support for help and possibly report it to the maintainer of that apt package.
