The new user group is missing when logging in from gdm

I’ve added a new user. And added a group to it.

But when I log in to a new user, I still lack permissions.
The groups command does not display new groups.

In the old user environment, use su new_user to switch to the new user. and execute the groups command, but the result contains the newly added groups.

Why is this happening? How to solve this problem?

Here’s how to solve it:

  1. newgrp wheel
  2. sudo gnome-shell -r

Then gnome-shell crashed. It’s normal after logging back in.

I don’t know the source of the problem. But now it’s solved.
