I can’t find any available info about trigger my events by the keycode in the documentation. What if I want to listen to the downarrow key in my keyboard hardware? And why is it map like that?

I just want to find a way to listen to a current key, not the keyboard layout.
I found the method to run it properly. And the document about the input for applicants lacks examples, it explained the technique details but not implementation. I didn’t realize the constants in gdkkeysyms.h are the keyval. So a tips may get the point more easily?
