Good morning,

I use task management a lot in Evolution and I just noticed a small problem with the search function. I’d like to know if it’s the same for you.

I have tasks whose summary (title) begins with an emoji for better readability. If I use the advanced search to sort them by the following criteria: “Summary” “Contains” “Emoji”

It works great with my pending task emoji (:hourglass:) but it doesn’t work with my task emoji that starts with (:thinking:).

Can @mcrha reproduce this?

Maybe others in the public forum like this can try too :wink:

Anyway, the Discourse turned the emojis into images, thus it’s not
possible to copy&paste the byte codes and try with that.

I used :thinking: and :hourglass_flowing_sand: (hopefully the send-by-mail will survive the byte
codes, but who knows) and them both work just fine. This is the current
development version of the evolution-data-server and evolution, to be
3.57.1 in several weeks.

I actually use Evolution’s emoji embedding feature (right click - insert emoji) for this.
That’s weird.
