Sycronize only last period feature, not honoured by using evolution-ews plugin

When you set a new Evolution Mail account, you can configure how many messages you want to download from server.

Receiving options » Avoid to sync locally messages older than [N] (days/weeks/months/years)

I have an italian language screenshot:

Well, I’ve put 1 month. But Evolution dumped locally everything since start, for subscribed folders either. I just wanted to download last month messages, now I end-up with years of messages (more than 10.000 items)

Looks like this setting is not used by Evolution-EWS plugin. It’s dumping everything from office365 account.

Currently, I’m running Debian Testing Evolution 3.54.0-1

Hi,

that option is related to download for offline. You always see all the
messages stored in the folder in the message list, but not all of them
need to be downloaded in their full size locally.

Looks like this setting is not used by Evolution-EWS plugin. It’s
dumping everything from office365 account.

If you do not see any such option in the respective account Properties
then no, it’s not. I mean, those are account specific options. The
accounts can have common options similar/same for all the accounts too.

Bye,
Milan

Thanks! I understand, the limit is set only for message’s body. Lists of messages inside folders, must be checked altogether.
The only “limit” can be set, is to check only inbox folder, with no subfolders.
