Nautilus 46.2
Desktop use a lot but do not have.
Recent leak privacy I want to forbid.
Videos, Pictures, Musics do not use I want to hide.
OtherLocation I want tree menu.
Hi, manual hiding of the sidebar in Files is not planned at the moment. While there are valid reasons to want it, it would also create a couple of problems, and it has been decided that the compromise wouldn’t be worth it. Previous discussion:
Videos, Pictures, Musics do not use I want to hide.
This can be done by removing them from the bookmarks section, given that you’re using a sufficiently up-to-date version of Files.
Hi, as @bragefuglseth already mentioned:
If you’re using a modern version of Files, you can set which folders are bookmarked in the sidebar, using drag and drop or by right-clicking and using the context menu.
This way, you can remove the Videos, Pictures and Music folders from the sidebar, as well as add the Desktop folder to the sidebar.
As for the Recent view, this can be deactivated in the control center, by disabling recent files in the privacy options.
