Should GNOME Software respect DNF versionlock?

I used the following two commands to go to a previous Mesa version and keep it that way, but GNOME Software continues to offer me Mesa updates. Should this be the case?

sudo dnf downgrade mesa-va-drivers-0:24.2.4-1.fc41.x86_64
sudo dnf versionlock add mesa-va-drivers

I don’t know all about GNOME’s approach to this interplay between traditional package managers and Gnome software. So therefore I simply pose this issue as a question.

This is a known issue with PackageKit dnf backend (and libdnf) which GNOME Software uses on Fedora etc.
