Selections of unfocused windows' lists are active

Good day!

Open Evince with a multipage PDF. On the sidebar, the first page is actively (blue) selected.
Unfocus the Evince’s window, On the sidebar, the first page is actively (blue) selected. But it was supposed (by me) to become unactively selected (gray).

Is it intended behavior? Is default for GTK applications? Are there issues on this?
