Select All Files in nautilus

do you think a Select All Files menu item is useful in Nautilus. I already wrote it. See screenshot.

There is already a “Select All” menu item. What’s the difference?

It will select all files, but not directories.

Oh, I see! Well, I’d say the difference is not very obvious. I’ve also never seen any file browser with this feature.

What’s the motivation here? How did you come up with this idea, why, and what for?

I use that to backup my files.
