Dear GNOME Translation Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Ramal, and I recently joined the Azerbaijani (az) translation team on l10n.gnome.org (my username is “rehimov”). However, I have noticed that the team currently has no active members, no translators, and unfortunately, no active coordinator. In fact, the existing coordinator has not logged into the platform or contributed to any translations for a long time.
Despite the current inactive status of the Azerbaijani team, I am strongly interested in contributing to the translation and localization efforts for GNOME in Azerbaijani. I already have a few translations prepared and plan to continue working regularly on improving the coverage and quality of Azerbaijani translations across GNOME applications.
To be more effective and to take initiative in organizing the Azerbaijani translation work, I would like to formally request to be appointed as the coordinator of the Azerbaijani (az) translation team . I believe that my involvement as a coordinator will significantly help revive the team, manage contributions, and maintain consistency across translations.
I am committed, available, and enthusiastic about this role, and I would be happy to provide any further information or translation samples if needed.
You can reach me at: jhonaluman@gmail.com
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Ramal Rəhimov
