The server at nmcheck.gnome.org respond with a redirect to the https endpoint when a request is made to http and that breaks the connectivity check of networkmanager because it does not follow the redirect and it can’t check the content.

A simple fix is to accept http requests in nmcheck server.

I am not sure who is in charge of that server, please advise me if I should write somewhere else.
