Open Terminal Using Scripts

identify location of config file like this

USERNAME@jnetai:~ $ find /home/USERNAME/ -name “nautilus*.desktop” -o -name “accels*”
/home/USERNAME/.local/share/applications/nautilus.desktop
/home/USERNAME/.config/Mousepad/accels.scm
/home/USERNAME/.config/gedit/accels

/home/USERNAME/.local/share/applications/nautilus.desktop

^^ most likely to be the 1 you need to backup and edit!

gedit /home/USERNAME/.local/share/applications/nautilus.desktop

add thos

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Nautilus Launcher
Comment=Launcher for Nautilus File Manager
Exec=/home/USERNAME/open_nautilus.sh
Icon=kfm
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=Utility;FileManager;

Now do thos

gedit ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts/OpenTerminalHere

add thos in

#!/bin/bash

gedit /home/USERNAME/.local/share/applications/nautilus.desktop

gedit ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts/OpenTerminalHere

gnome-terminal --working-directory=“$PWD”

another script that will do the same is

sh
#!/bin/bash
nautilus &

Now restart using this cmd

nautilus -q

Now scripts menu should be seen you can open terminal from there!
