evolution haven’t sub-task and can’t create category with google account.
i am organize my work by Google in GTD method and i use evolution in my gnome desktop.
more compatibility is appreciate because i use twice : my phone and my desktop.

that’s true, Evolution currently does not support sub-tasks:
With respect of the categories, I guess you mean to create a category
in the Evolution and make it synced to the Google server. I do not
think that ever worked, there is no GUI to tell the app to save the
categories to “some server” (if I recall correctly setting on a contact
a category not on the Google server added it there, but it’s kinda long
ago, thus I can be wrong). In time of a Google Contact API the
categories used to be synced from the server to the client, but since
Google closed that API a CardDAV API is used and that does not
categorize the contacts, thus it’s not working as before. At least
until someone ports the code to use the Google People API:

This is why we should rely on the Caldav protocol for tasks. Support for subtasks would be ideal. Evolution would then be the only software to offer native and proper Exchange management and professional task management. This is a real shortcoming (Thunderbird doesn’t do it either).
