Need help getting secure boot option working

Im currently on Cachy os using Gnome desktop and I have used sbctl to sign my keys I’ve done everything i can. Secure boot seems to be working but in the Gnome settings option the secureboot part has an error. Im trying to get things fixed because when i use mokutil i get secure boot is enabled. Im kind of wondering if this a bug.

maybe wait until next kernel update… and also it may help to switch uefi from other system boot to default option. handling with hacking keys is not needed in most if not at all situations… so maybe wait, it seems that update-initramfs, update-grub is not updating GNOME secureboot entry checking…

did you try to reset the keys in the bios

Could you copy the technical report? You can obtain the report either via the UI in settings (click the error, there will be a “Copy Technical Report” button), or by running fwupdmgr security on the command line

Yep did it the right way on my gigabyte motherboard. Just a bit weird because it says i have have secure boot on in gnome settings but it says its not functioning but the commands to tell me if im using secure boot comes out as using secure boot. I did have to install fwupd in cachy os since its not installed by default could be a bug in Gnome or that fwpd is not interacting with the gnome settings correctly.

Yep i can do that but ive decided to switch to KDE for gaming right now Gnome is still missing some features for now. Ill just have to reinstall Gnome on a laptop because im going to buy a laptop soon just for Gnome. Currently using KDE for my gaming desktop because it has all the features needed for gaming and Gnome isnt quite there eventually it will be but i would have to wait a while so ive decided to install Gnome on a laptop because i enjoy Gnome so much
