Move the music/video playback controls to quick settings

Playback controls is currently in the notification panel. However, the playback “panel” isn’t a notification toast and looks out of place. Quick settings menu is also a control center, so it makes sense to show playback controls in this area:

This is already possible with the Quick Settings Tweaker extension:

For what it is worth:

  • The playback “panel” can be a notification toast if it is shown after an app playing media is closed.
  • Quick settings is a menu for quick settings, not a center for controls in general.

Better to think about the UX you want to offer here than to use “similarity” arguments (controls): Is it a good UX for such background activity?
