Migrate EasyTag to meson and TagLib?

Couple of questions. Are there any plans to migrate EasyTag away from autoconf and to meson like the rest of Gnome apps?

I started looking at the source to see if it’s possible to drop id3lib and move it to TagLib, but I saw in the TODO file a point to actually drop TagLib from being used for mp4.
Is this still the direction or would it not make more sense to drop id3lib which has been abandoned for decades now?
