Make changes without clicking the "edit" button

Hi

It’s the first issue I fill in GitLab.

I didn’t know it was possible to make changes without clicking the “edit” button.
So I made a mess. I hope I cleaned correctly. (Is there somewhere a changes history?)

Is it possible to disable this feature please ?
