Locked out of contributing on GitLab

I’d like to submit a PR for a project on gitlab.gnome.org, however I’m not able to do so. It seems like my existing GitLab account no longer works (I followed the instructions on password reset but it didn’t work). Therefore I created a new account. That’s great I’m in now but I can’t fork a project, the error is: You have reached your project limit. Apparently my limit is 0.

Can someone here help me get me previous account back (ideal) or allow me to fork a repo on GitLab with the new one?
