Libxml2 2.12 EOL?

Hello,
In Libxml2 2.12.10 released there is a comment saying “This is probably the final release of the 2.12 branch.” However, there are a couple of commits backported to the branch since the 2.12 tag was created: Commits · 2.12 · GNOME / libxml2 · GitLab
My question is: Is there any plan to release 2.12.11 at some point or has branch 2.12 already reached the EOL?

There are no plans for another 2.12 release.
