Is there a way to show which labels are attached to a message?

I use labels extensively with my Gmail account, often overlapping with several labels on a message. Geary handles the simple case of looking at a label for what messages are in it, but it doesn’t label them in the message list (useful for categorized items that are in my inbox, and for messages with multiple labels), or in the message view. For my workflow, this would actually be more useful than the content preview in the list. Is this possible in Geary?

Unfortunately Geary doesn’t follow the Gmail labels concept. Labels in Geary are actually folders and you can’t assign a conversation to two folders at the same time. IIRC this is more a limitation of IMAP protocol rather than Geary.

A quick search in the issue tracker showed only this relevant issue:

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!
