Is it possible to customise the birthdays calendar?

The calendar app has a “Birthdays & Anniversaries” calendar, which displays birthdays as a full day event named “Birthday: lastname, firstname”. In Portuguese, we mostly use “firstname lastname”, so I’d like to ask if it is possible to change this ordering even though I use the English locale.

I’m using gnome-calendar v47 on Fedora 41.

GNOME Calendar itself doesn’t offer such customizations, and I would think that the format should match the system’s language.

That said, maybe there is a bug in the way Evolution prepares the contact information for the birthdays calendar, at least from what I’ve found so far in this issue, because it would seem weird to me that this would also happen with a system in French, and it doesn’t match what Evolution’s code comment says.

If it happens even when your system is running fully in Portuguese instead of English, and if it happens even in Evolution’s calendar UI, then I would suggest filing a bug in Evolution to be linked to the one in GNOME Calendar.
