Is it correct that you cannot see or edit invitees with the default Gnome calendar?

Hi,
What the title says…
I just moved from KDE, so getting used to Gnome. I use Betterbird, so I can always use the calendar there. Just wanted to be sure (it is handy that you can open the calendar from the menu bar)

The calendar in the top panel is just a view; it is populated from the calendars managed by GNOME Calendar, Evolution, and any other calendar application that uses the evolution data server platform component.

I’m sorry, I know that. I do mean the Gnome calender “full application”. I don’t really like Evolution, I do like the Gnome Calendar, but if I can’t manage who’s invited with it, I’ll have to use Betterbird, which is NOT connected to the menu-bar-calendar.

It is simply that it is a massive cross-applications endeavour to do this, and nobody has attempted implementing it yet (help is very welcome on that front). These are the main tickets you want to quietly subscribe to to be notified if/when someone comes forward with a merge request to implement it:

Hi @jfft ,
I’m sorry I didn’t see that thread. I can imagine how frustrating it is, people complaining about issues you’re already aware of and would like to have fixed yourself, but simple lack the help to do so.
I’m no programmer. I am a volunteer in different areas (I say this not to excuse myself, but to let you know I do care about that).
