Idea: have a gimp mode that makes it more like Canva

(for clarity: I myself know how to use GIMP) but I know various people that love Canva but wouldn’t like GIMP.
I think GIMP has the base of the functionality that it needs (minus the library of art and content that Canva has) to make it more user friendly for people who want a simpler less-crowded ui. I’m doing a bad job of why canva is better for certain applications for certain people.
But I figured it might be interesting to discuss this

Why would Gimp-looking-like-Canva would be better for these users than just Canva?

I don’t just mean looking, I mean the actual UX of manipulating items and such.

Canva is getting more and more expensive trying to become the everything app (as many VC companies do) but … some people just need to make their weekly social media post. Those people might be looking for a free alternative to Canva. Or Someone who just wants to use FOSS
