I want to learn how to do word wrapping in a circular image, like on a custom seal or logo. Years ago I had Logo Maker to do stuff like that, but I lost the application when that computer got bricked. I’m talking like twenty years ago. Problem is, that application “died” years ago. It’s not for professional purposes, just for me alone.

Hi, do you imply something like that?

Yes. I’d seen something like that while I was fiddling about with GIMP once, but it confused me. Oooooh! No, that simply won’t do. I have never seen a GIMP interface that looks remotely like that. You see, I’m using GIMP 2.6 because later “improvements” of GIMP have changed certain defaults like. making XCF the default format. Who the bloody Hell uses XCF for a finished image? Websites don’t support that file extension, nor do most popular image viewers and editors (GIMP isn’t the only image manipulation application I use). Nah, fageddaboudit. Never mind.

You don’t “save” your image when you produce a JPG/PNG. Do you “save” your spreadsheets as PDF?

I have seen a lot more people cry because they lost layers/selections to an unfortunate “save” to JPEG than I have seen people complain about the Save/Export change. Also, in 2.10 you can do Ctrl-Shift-S to re-export your image…

YouTube is your friend …

The thing you must be aware of is that some of the videos you find they were created with older versions of GIMP. This said, usually the technique can be used with current versions.

Hope this helps.
