How to create a custom resolution for a monitor?

Using Gnome 47 Manjaro latest with Wayland.

I can easily do it with Xorg and xrandr but I cannot make 640x480 resolution for a CRT TV with a VGA to S-Video/Composite adapter using Wayland.
Searched various options already like adding a custom resolution to GDM ~gdm/.config/monitors.xml following the wiki documentation. Also tried a project called gnome-randr-rust but no luck as well. So far I’m bound to use abandoned Xorg or using Windows.

When trying to force the resolution I get this error:

D-Bus error: Invalid mode '640x480@59.32' specified (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs) Invalid mode '640x480@59.32' specified

Using xrandr 640x480 is a perfectly valid resolution but Wayland seems to dislike 480p and 240p which are resolutions required for CRT retro gaming.

Any help is really appreciated. Thank you for your time reading this. Have a great day!
