How to autodelete emails from spam folder ?
Hi,
your server might have a spam deletion policy, like auto-delete spam
older than 30 days (that seems to be a usual time frame also for
messages in the Trash these days).
In evo, there is Edit->Preferences->Mail Preferences->Junk tab, where
you can set how often the junk messages should be deleted.
I want to delete mails which subject contains “5 000”.
See:
https://gnome.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/evolution/help/mail-organizing.html
Search for the needed message, and if you are satisfied with the list,
simply Ctrl+A followed by Delete key press. It’s not automatic though,
but the search also doesn’t look like anything deserving an automatic
procedure.
You can also create a filter and mark junk messages for deletion when
they satisfy your criteria, depending what marks the message as just,
how it gets to the junk folder and whether evolution sees the message
before it gets there. If not, then you’d fine tune your filters and set
the Junk folder for filtering (in the folder Properties).
Bye,
Milan
That rule will run on any folder with enabled filtering (again, check
folder Properties, which can be accessed in the context menu above the
folder name in the folder tree), and if such message satisfies the
criteria, it’ll do what you said it to do.
If you find any leftovers, you can always enter the folder,
Edit->Select All, then Message->Apply Filters.
Oh “folder Properties”… yes. found needed there.
Do you see how it acts at thunderbird? I can select on which folder filters applies, run it from THAT window.
Yeah, evo has it done differently (though the menu or with shortcuts).
I won’t say it’s worse than Thunderbird, just different.
It’s no obvious at Evo…)
