How do you change the UI font in GIMP?

Hi all, I’m new here and have a question. The short question is how can I change the size of the font on the user interface? The layers tab I can hardly read because the font is so small. Same with the toolbox tab any of the options is extremely small and unreadable. I’m on a iMac running 13.7.1

The longer discussion. I recently updated to gimp 2.10.37 and when I did this, my font shrank way down. I use to go to Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/themes/gtkrc and open the file associated with the theme. I could change the font size and when I open gimp, the font is nice and big. The problem is, there is no longer a themes folder in GIMP. I’ve looked for it in several locations. I’ve looked for the gtkrc file as well. How can I make the font large and readable again?

Hi! In GIMP 3.0RC1, there’s now a built-in font size option in the Welcome Dialogue (and Preferences). Perhaps try that and see if it fits your needs? GIMP - Development Downloads

I have searched all over preferences, yet there is always a chance I may have missed it. This is the text I am having issues with. As you can see tool options, design, edit and move are all very small and difficult to read. If I could get to the gtkrc file I could make this much bigger. I am a bit uneasy using beta stuff. I get paid for some of my creations and some of the things in gimp are touchy as it is.

Just FYI, you can have GIMP 3.0RC1 and GIMP 2.10 installed side-by-side without affecting the settings in either one.

The gtkrc file is in the root of the theme that you are using.
