Gtk3 vs gtk4 in gimp 3?

Hi

I have read gtk3 will be used in gimp 3.
But there is already gtk4.
Can I ask why the choice not to use latest gtk4 is made?

GIMP uses gtk 3 because the port was started a long time ago, and we have very limited resources. It’s possible there will be a gtk 5 based GIMP in the future, skipping 4, but plans have not yet been made.
