GTK and LGPL legal issue

Can I use gtk on embedded devices? Not technically, but legally?

I just provide a link to discussion I have with a guy and I would like to know the official statement from somebody from gtk.

Of course you can used it on embedded devices. GTK uses the LGPLv2 license. Most embedded devices contain software under this license already, so adding GTK would probably make little difference for your compliance obligations. I suggest you read and understand the LGPLv2 license to familiarize yourself with the requirements that will apply. If in doubt, you should probably consult an intellectual property attorney rather than internet forums.
