When will GooCanvas have support for GTK4?
GooCanvas is currently unmaintained, so it’s unknown if, or when, it’ll be ported to GTK4.
To be fair, GTK is basically a canvas; you mostly need a fixed layout manager, and then you either use custom CSS or a snapshot function to draw with Cairo; you already get 3D transformations for free.
Libadwaita is experimenting with an animation API, so it’s entirely possible to develop one out of tree until we can add it to GTK.
