Gnome Shell: Missing Icon in Activation Overview

Hello all,

I am new here. I’ve been tinkering around a bit to create a custom theme for myself. Unfortunately, I realized later (the next day) that I broke something with the icons in the activation overview (see image below). When I hover over a window in the activation overview, the close icon is nowhere to be found. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this. I have done my best to find my error, but nothing I have changed should affect the icon.

Any suggestions on how this problem could arise or how to fix it would be appreciated.

P.S.: This is my first post here, so I’m not sure if I chose the right day and even the right place for my question. If I should ask somewhere else, please let me know.

This could happen if you replace the gnome-shell-theme.gresource with one that is missing preview-close-symbolic. Try reinstalling the gnome-shell package to restore the original resource file.

Thanks, Sebastian, for your quick (and correct) answer
(I almost feel bad that I didn’t think of it myself).
