From reading the code, the underlying code already supports getting a screenshot for a given rectangle, and the front end also allows users to select an area.
I am new to this, but I have developed software for many years. So would someone please give me some tips/pointers on what I need to do to pass in command arguments (area - x, y, width, height) so gnome-screenshot can capture a screenshot for the provided area.
