Gnome-Music, how to disable auto-suspend while listening?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to disable the auto-suspend feature when playing music on gnome-music? I use the music player and a bluetooth speaker for while I’m working.

I want to disable it for this app only, and then only when playing music.

Thanks!
Tom E.

I wonder whether Music should implement that behavior out of the box - worth filing a bug in my opinion.

Other than that your easiest option is to start the program through gnome-session-inhibit:

$ gnome-session-inhibit --inhibit suspend gnome-music

This will inhibit suspend while gnome-music is running, but not consider the playing state. To achieve that, you would have to write your own gnome-music-watching session service I’m afraid …

Thanks, I will do that!
