It is the same logo.
Note that https://www.gnome.org is being renovated. It looks great .
Well, the logo used in the favicon (that’s the term for the tab icon) is actually the one of libadwaita, the platform library of GNOME.
Apparently, there is some discussion on reworking the logo? According to a few posts, the old logo wasn’t present on the new page initially.
I mean, while the foot may be iconic, it is a bit weird to be fair.
