Gnome keeps resizing windows (e.g after returning from screen saver mode)

Fedora 37, 38 (happens on both)
Wayland
Gnome 43 and 44 (happens on both)

Gnome resizes my windows (bigger than fully maximized for terminal windows – so it expands beyond the screen dimensions) and repositions them too (e.g putting firefox in the bottom quadrant of the screen).

This usually happens after returning from the screen saver mode to activity. (Windows like: firefox, terminal, etc).

Any ideas why this happens?

Thanks.
