Gnome calculator Basic layout unusable for basic users

Gnome calculator Basic layout has been ‘invaded’ by functions from ‘Advanced’ layout and lost some more basic functions:

‘square root is missing (must use ctrl+R for square root) - so only by keyboard.
Pi is disappeared also if can be found in “variables and constants - Mathematics”
superscript and subscript mode are useless in a basic calculator
x square is missing also if can be entered by keyboard with ^ or with superscript
“variables and constants” like “additional functions” are ok in advanced mode but not in basic mode.

I hope this is just a bug and not a crazy design change.
