Gnome builder: too much to hope for an error-free build?

After installing Gnome Builder (GB) 42.0 on Ubuntu 22.04, and adding required modules, I followed online directions to create a ‘hello’ GTK3 app for desktop. After the 1 hour to get to that point, the build failed with the errors below. Then I spent 3 hours trying to 'Net search for solutions & found none. Plenty of glowing hype about how great GB is; where’s the troubleshooting help??

You’re using a version of GNOME Builder released a year and a half ago. Install GNOME Builder 45 (current stable) from Flathub and it will download all the necessary dependencies for the GNOME SDK. Then you can complain about warnings and errors.
