Hi there !
I have started tinkering with Gnome boxes as a replacement for Virtualbox.
i did manage to get one VM going then i did som systems updating and the next time i tried creating a VM it starts and then stops saying no KVM in a window.
Everything that should be on in the BIOS is on i have installed virt-manager and i can create VMs from that but not from boxes. my machine is a HP ZBook G3 with 32 gb ram Xenon processor and a quadro M2 graphicscard. does anyone have an idea on whats going on here ?
What’s your distro? How did you install Boxes? Have you tried Boxes from Flathub?
Hi Felipe !
I use Linux Mint. I installed boxes as a flatpack with the program handler and it never worked, re-did it many times, but after a while something i read gave me an idea. so i removed boxes (flatpack) with the program handler and then reinstalled it as a system pack install and then it worked. one part of the problem was that the program handler defaults to flatpack and you have to open up the list feature and actively choose system pack.
