The GNOME Project is proud to announce the release of GNOME 51, ‘A Coruña’.
This release brings a smoother and responsive interface with improved frame
scheduling, revamped fingerprint settings, new features in apps from offline
maps in Maps to camera and color information in the Image Viewer. Once again,
we welcome new apps in GNOME Circle: Bobby, Tally and Bazaar.

GNOME 51 will be available shortly in many distributions, such as Fedora 45
and Ubuntu 26.10. If you want to try it today, you can look for their beta
releases, which will be available very soon:
We are also providing our own live images for debugging and testing features.
These images can be used on bare metal, or in a virtual machine with EFI
support (such as the GNOME Boxes version available on www.flathub.org).
If you are interested in building applications for GNOME 51, look for the
GNOME 51 Flatpak SDK, which is available in the www.flathub.org
repository.
