I hate with a passion the amount of distros that are now dropping support for x11 in favor of Wayland, did it ever come to their minds that screen sharing and remote desktop support and full remote desktop control is STILL not working properly with Wayland? I am an IT support engineer and rely heavily on tools such as Rustdesk which DO NOT work in Wayland due to its limitations. Please sort this out before you drop support and follow what everyone else is doing.

Hi! Things you described should work. If you have some specific issues, can you make new post here (or in case of Rustdesk in their respective forum)?

@Mitch_Menghi: Welcome to the release announcement for GNOME 50.alpha. Feel free to use distributions which still provide x11 support to you if you believe that you have to use x11. I don’t see what your choice of distribution has to do with GNOME.
